Exile Tribe (stylized in all caps) is the umbrella name for a collective of LDH artists connected to the agency’s flagship group, Exile. The idea was first tested in 2001 with the formation of EXILES. In 2012, the collective became a supergroup, bringing together members from Exile, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, Generations, The Rampage, and Fantastics. Their 2014 single “The Revolution” ranked as Japan’s ninth best-selling single that year, while the album *Exile Tribe Revolution* was the eighth best-selling album of 2014 in Japan.
The term “Exile Tribe” first appeared in June 2011 during the tour *Nidaime J Soul Brothers VS Sandaime J Soul Brothers Live Tour 2011 ~Exile Tribe~*. The following year, in April 2012, the *Exile Tribe Live Tour 2012 ~Tower of Wish~* featured multiple LDH artists. In September 2012, EXILE and Sandaime J Soul Brothers released the single “24karats Tribe of Gold” as Exile Tribe. By January 2013, both Sandaime J Soul Brothers and Generations had added “Exile Tribe” to their group names. On September 10, 2013, the two groups jointly released the single “Burning Up” under the Exile Tribe banner.
In January 2014, LDH launched the *Exile Tribe Perfect Year 2014*, which included releases from the collective and its subgroups, plus a nationwide dome tour. On April 11, 2014, The Rampage was announced as part of Exile Tribe. On September 20, 2014, Exile Tribe released “The Revolution,” featuring members from EXILE, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, and Generations. A week later, the same lineup put out the album *Exile Tribe Revolution*; both the single and album reached number one on Oricon’s weekly chart. From September to December 2014, all Exile Tribe groups took part in the dome tour *Exile Tribe Perfect Year Live Tour Tower of Wish 2014 ~The Revolution~*.
On October 22, 2015, Exile Tribe members starred in the TV drama *HiGH&LOW ~The Story of S.W.O.R.D.~*. The groups also contributed to the drama’s soundtrack, released in 2016 as part of Exile Tribe’s catalog, and continued with the project through 2017. On January 25, 2017, The Rampage made their major debut with “Lightning” and officially joined Exile Tribe. On August 23, 2023, Kid Phenomenon, The Jet Boy Bangerz, and Wolf Howl Harmony debuted and officially joined.
